To Celebrate International Women’s Day, the Centre for Basic Research (CBR) is proud to have participated in #WomenUganda2025, an event hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Uganda. The event was held at the home of H.E. Ms. Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Netherlands Embassy in Uganda. This gathering brought together key stakeholders, thought leaders, and advocates committed to advancing women’s leadership and empowerment.
At the event, Mr. Richard Ssewakiryanga, Executive Director CBR and a distinguished policy expert and researcher, delivered a compelling keynote address. His insights contributed to critical discussions on the role of women in leadership, strategies for gender inclusion, and the importance of policy-driven approaches to women’s empowerment in Uganda and beyond.
